Group of the Italian Statistical Society

Welcome to the official Bayesian section of the Italian Statistical Society. This group aims at promoting Bayesian statistics, meant under its various perspectives (modelling, computation and applications), within the Italian statistical community and beyond. To this end, the group actively contributes to the organization of scientific events, including workshops and specialized sessions within national conferences of the Italian Statistical Society. An important and more ambitious goal that we face is to connect the usage of statistics, and specifically Bayesian methods, to real-world settings, such as medicine, social science, environmental studies, and more in general all the fields of application for data analytics.
